Lake Pickett Advisory Board

Enabling Legislation:
Resolution 2013-M-07, creating the Lake Pickett Advisory Board, was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners on March 12, 2013. On April 30, 2013, the Board adopted Resolution 2013-M-15 changing the membership category to include those who reside or own property.
Membership:
The Advisory Board shall consist of five members. Members of the
Advisory Board shall be residents within the Lake Pickett MSTU/BU during their service as members of the Advisory Board.

Term Of Office:
Three of the members shall appointed for a term expiring on
December 31, 2013, and two of the members shall he appointed for a term expiring on December 31, 2014. Thereafter, at the expiration of the initial terms, members shall be appointed for two-year terms. All members shall serve until their successors are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. Members shall be appointed by the District Commissioner and confirmed by the Board of County Commissioners.
Powers and Duties:
The duties of the Advisory Board shall be to advise the Board of County Commissioners regarding the administration and operation of the Lake Pickett MSTU/BU in matters related to general lake cleaning maintenance and aquatic plant control on Lake Pickett.
Meetings:
First Tuesday of each quarter at 5:00 p.m. UCF Rowing Facility, 18011 Lake Pickett Road, Orlando, FL.
