Special Acts, Chapter 57-1643, took effect August 28, 1957. The Act was amended by House Bill 1033 on June 6, 1986, increasing the membership from three to five members. On October 17, 2000, the Board adopted Ordinance No. 2000-23, increasing the membership from five to seven members. On August 7, 2018, the Board adopted Ordinance No. 2018-18, decreasing the membership from seven to five members.
Membership:
The advisory board shall consist of five members. Members are appointed by the District Commissioner and approved by the Board of County Commissioners from among the resident freeholders of the district.

Powers and Duties:
The purpose of the Lake Conway Water and Navigation Control District Advisory Board is to assist and advise the Board of County Commissioners on matters relating to the Lake Conway Special Taxing District.
