Enabling Legislation:
A resolution was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners on July 31, 1973. On March 18, 1997, the Board adopted a resolution increasing the membership to five. On February 1, 2000 the Board adopted a resolution increasing the membership to seven.
Membership:
The advisory board shall consist of seven members. Members are appointed by the District Commissioner and approved by the Board of County Commissioners from among the residents of the district.

Powers and Duties:
The primary responsibility of the Lake Killarney Advisory Board is to assist and advise the Board of County Commissioners in providing for the general improvement and enhancement of the lake.
