This key position performs inspections and technical work to ensure compliance with Orange County codes and ordinances for Orange County sewer, solid waste, and recycling customers and contract/franchise haulers, including sampling and inspection of subject users.
Work is performed with considerable independence under the supervision of the Environmental Coordinator. Performance is reviewed through observations, reports and results achieved. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
Duties may vary based on area of assignment. The following are representative duties, it is not the intent to capture all duties performed by this classification.
- Inspects customers and contract/franchise hauler vehicles for compliance with recycling and solid waste ordinances.
- Relocates and sets up automated sampling equipment at selected sites.
- Inspects grease traps while obtaining composite samples.
- Maintains chain-of-custody logs and other daily paperwork.
- Maintains accurate, legible records of samples and inspections.
- Removes and replaces sanitary sewer manhole covers to conduct inspection and sampling.
- Prepares records of findings for supervisor or applicable boards concerning enforcement actions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License. |
