COMMUNITY CENTER SUPERVISOR

FLSA Status: Exempt 

General Functions
   Coordinates activities and supervises a multi functional program to provide education, social services and life skills to individuals and families.

Work is performed with considerable independence under the general supervision of an assigned supervisor.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Manages day to day operations at assigned Community Center.
  • Supervises staff, coordinates and/or manages program operations and delivery of services.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines.
  • Establishes and conducts outreach and recruitment of families for Family Self-Sufficiency Program and other programs.
  • Encourages citizen involvement on councils, boards and committees.
  • Facilitates community meetings and coordinates community service projects.
  • Recruit and coordinate public/private partners, create formal partnership agreements to provide volunteers, inkind goods and related services to the Division.
  • Organizes and coordinates Community/Center events year-round to provide services to residents within the Community.
  • Evaluates educational, social and human services to ensure quality delivery of services.
  • Completes required reports, forms and evaluations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Social Services, Business Administration, or a related field and two years of experience in social service work, business administration, or a related field.

NOTE:
Assigned work location is subject to change throughout Orange County.
 
Preferences
   Experience coordinating social service programs in low income communities.
