HEAD START TRAINING COORDINATOR

General Functions
  

Performs professional development system that will effectively track and analyze employee training and development needs and allow the division to make informed decisions regarding training expenses. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating staff training for an assigned division.

Work is performed with considerable independence under the general supervision of a designated supervisor. Performance is reviewed through observations, reports and results achieved.

 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  

Duties may vary based on area of assignment. The following are representative duties, it is not the intent to capture all duties performed by this classification.

  • Oversees training and professional development system for regulatory compliance to include the internal and external training software system.
  • Coordinates training activities for all service areas and assess training needs for new and existing employees.
  • Implements data analysis and reporting processes that inform and improve the quality and effectiveness of staff training and development.
  • Maintains employee training and professional development records.
  • Conducts quality assurance reviews to evaluate and improve training methods and materials.
  • Partners with management to develop the Training & Technical Assistance Plan, ensuring costs associated are included.
  • Organizes, develops or sources training programs to meet specific training needs.
  • Liaises with County departments to research training needs and instructional design.
  • Responsible for developing the division-wide training plan. Assists with the development of training manuals and materials.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications
  

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources, Education, Human Services, Public Administration, Business Administration, or closely related field and two (2) years of experience in training and development, data and information management or closely related; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.

 
Preferences
  

Proficient in Microsoft Office.
