SENIOR SOCIAL SERVICES COORDINATOR

FLSA Status: Exempt 

General Functions
   Responsible for the management of a major social service program within a division or department. Coordinates community services and assist staff in identifying solutions for their clients.

Work is performed under the supervision of the Division Manager or designee and is reviewed through observation of performance, conferences, reports and results achieved.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Supervises 4 or more full-time employees of an assigned social service program.
  • Assures that appropriate staff training and development activities are provided and evaluates their performance.
  • Plans, assigns, directs, and performs operations of a social service program.
  • Reviews and analyzes activity reports and statistics in order to evaluate operational efficiency and effectiveness and make recommendations and changes as needed.
  • Prepares and submits reports as required by division policy or contractual obligations to ensure program compliance for accreditation standards.
  • Develops, implements and reviews written procedures for designated area to ensure compliance with state, federal and local regulations.
  • Ensures staff meets service level goals for assigned area.
  • Responds to escalated client and citizen issues and complaints.
  • Coordinates services with coordinators and managers of other programs within the Division or Department.
  • Builds relationships with public and private agencies in order to exchange and share information to develop resources for shared clients with intensive needs.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Health, Human, Social or Behavioral Sciences and two year's experience in social services or a Bachelor's in closely related field and 4 years of social services related experience.

May be required to possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's license and may be required to provide own vehicle for job related duties.
 
Preferences
   Previous supervisory experience.
