EXHIBITOR SERVICES SUPERVISOR

General Functions
   Exhibitor Services Supervisor will lead, implement and coordinate services provided to exhibitors through the Exhibitor Services section of the Sales and Event Management Division. Responsibilities include staff assignments, training, scheduling, monitoring independent work progress, providing technical and operational assistance to Exhibitor Services Staff and supporting accurate detailed ordering information for the Event Operations section.

Work is performed independently under the general direction of the Sales Manager.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Manages the day-to-day services to include monitoring and coaching for acceptable performance standards, measurement and conducts performance evaluations. Updates SOP manual as needed.
  • Works closely with management as an integral team player in the process of sales, event production and service delivery.
  • Meets with show management during site visits and planning visits to present all services provided.
  • Assists Exhibitor Services Representatives to effectively communicate and present to show management and exhibitors all services and procedures as soon as assigned.
  • Stays abreast of technology enhancements and makes recommendations on how the Convention Center can improve communications and/or the ordering process for exhibitors, Exhibitor Appointed Contractors (EAC's) etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining and working within annual approved budget.
  • Develops strategies and initiatives with service partners to achieve desired goals per event.
  • Develops strategies to resolve customer complaints, handle escalated calls and collaborate service issues.
  • Assists Exhibitor Services Coordinators in creating and implementing action plans to include all responsibilities before, during and after the event.
  • Meets on a regular basis with all service partners and external providers including; EAC's, General Service Contractors to build relationships and improve lines of communication.
  • Prepares reports for Division Manager on budgeted and projections per FY events and meet monthly to review progress.
  • Submits, reviews and reports on customer survey results. Responsible for annual Exhibitor Advisory Board Meeting.
  • Make recommendations for the Exhibit Services web site.
  • Meets the Center of Hospitality (COH) standards.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications
  

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Hospitality, Communications, Business, Management or other closely related field and four (4) years of responsible administrative, fiscal, sales or customer service experience including two (2) years of which should be in a lead or senior position, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. 

Proficient in the use of Microsoft office programs and Customer Relations Management (CRM) systems.

 
Preferences
   Experience in the hospitality industry, with related exhibitor services experience.
