RIGGING COORDINATOR

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

General Functions
   Performs highly skilled manual and technical work, which involves performing a wide variety of rigging tasks in a manner that helps ensure employee and client safety.

Directs, oversees, schedules and trains full and part time employees on the installation and removal of a wide variety of client rigging needs and requests at the Orange County Convention Center.

Meets with clients for advance pre-show production planning to ascertain rigging needs, compiles and calculates client billing and compiles reports on show related rigging activity.

Calculates rigging for proper placement and safe weight distribution, inspects and maintains building rigging hardware and systems and coordinates proper equipment utilization.

Schedules and trains employees on safe rigging techniques and procedures and provides daily hands-on direction to Technical Services section.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   Graduation from High School and five years experience in shows production and trade show rigging in a lead capacity. Ability to calculate rigging points for proper placement and safe weight distribution. Ability to read rigging plots and blueprints.

May be required to possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.
