This is a working coordinator position and works directly under the Assistant Section Supervisor for Environmental Services at the Orange County Convention Center. The position will coordinate the Convention Service Workers’ day-to-day operations.
Distinguishing Characteristics of Work
This position is responsible for coordinating job tasks as a lead person as required and/or directed. An employee assigned to this position will normally be assigned tasks to accomplish himself/herself in addition to performing lead position responsibilities. Employee must be qualified to assume duties of a supervisor or assistant supervisor for short periods of time, also must maintain a valid Florida Driver’s license at all times as operating a County vehicle and/or golf cart is required. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Coordinates and monitors tasks assigned to crews per the daily schedule.
- Monitors radio for all calls pertaining to changes of event-related activities.
- Assists in sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and scrubbing of floors as needed per building standards.
- Assists in cleaning of interior and exterior glass areas, walls, furniture and restrooms as needed per building standards.
- Assists in the preparation of crew schedules for event work orders.
- Assists in cleaning of meeting rooms and other exhibit hall space as required by event work order.
- Meets the Center of Hospitality (CoH) standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Graduation from High School or equivalent and three years of direct experience in custodial/janitorial or sanitation.
Must be able to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.
Must be able to work irregular hours as scheduled such as on weekends, holidays and evenings.
