SENIOR EXHIBITOR SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE

General Functions
   Responsible for implementing procedures, assigning tasks and monitoring telemarketing efforts and coordination of the most complex, technically demanding events for Convention Center. Responsible for monitoring and processing orders and telemarketing exhibitors.

Work is performed under the general direction of a/the Sales Manager. Performance is reviewed through observations, conferences, reports and results achieved.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Updates and maintains event information in a database and generates status and summary reports.
  • Responsible for providing technical guidance to Exhibitor Services staff.
  • Acts as liaison between users of the Orange County Convention Center and the Center's staff.
  • Attends planning meetings with clients, their vendors and pre-convention meetings with the Center divisions.
  • Assists with coordinating the Exhibitor Kit with Show Management / Exhibitor Management for service forms.
  • Responsible for obtaining and maintaining electronic exhibitor lists for use in telemarketing.
  • Monitors marketing efforts and web links to assigned shows web sites.
  • Monitors and assists with telemarketing efforts via e-mail, fax, and telephone calls, including status of orders.
  • Develops and maintains Exhibitor Services procedure and training manuals from which Exhibitor Services and student intern staff work.
  • Develops relationships with external support partners; i.e. exhibitor appointed contractors, general service contractors and center service partners.
  • Ensures procedures and guidelines are followed.
  • Generates reports periodically to monitor progress of revenues per event.
  • Updates and maintains deadlines and tasks assignments.
  • Reviews lessees contract to ensure contractual provisions have been fulfilled.
  • Interfaces and assists other divisions with special projects that impact the exhibitor services section.
  • Manages events in progress to ensure compliance with Center policy and public safety codes.
  • Schedules and assists Exhibitor Services Representatives with service desk hours.
  • Assists in resolving service issues.
  • Assists Exhibitor Services Staff in training and employee development.
  • Meets the Center of Hospitality (CoH) standards.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and two years of convention services, administrative, fiscal, sales or customer service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have working knowledge of event management software.
 
Preferences
   Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Hospitality, Communications, Business, Management or closely related field.
Experience in the hospitality industry, with related telemarketing or exhibitor services.
