PRODUCTION COORDINATOR

General Functions
   Responsible for the development of creative photographic and graphic design for sales and marketing materials produced and distributed by the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC).

Work is performed under the supervision of the Deputy General Manager, Convention Center and is reviewed through observations, conferences, reports, and results achieved.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Creates and produces graphic designs for the Convention Center’s sales and marketing materials including OCCC community related events, industry press events, internal programs, OCCC client events, and special promotions.
  • Coordinates bid/purchasing process, project scheduling, and production.
  • Establishes the Convention Center’s event photography schedule.
  • Creates interesting and information convention related photo displays inside the facility.
  • Maintains the Convention Center’s photographic files.
  • Develops photography related labor and material cost estimates.
  • Assists other Convention Center Divisions with production of all digital and print materials.
  • Consults with clients on photography and graphic needs and recommend solutions.
  • Assists with other marketing duties as needed.
  • Responsible for updates to the OCCC website including content, formatting, photos, etc.
  • Works with contracted graphics companies to create, coordinate, and place advertising on behalf of the OCCC.
  • Meets the Center of Hospitality (CoH) standards.
  • Performs other duties of a comparable level as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Commercial Art or a closely related field and three years of commercial art, design, and photography experience; or an equivalent level of relevant education and experience.

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Creative Suite, and the use of cameras. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
