General Functions |
|
This key position performs responsible work in purchasing, receiving, issuing, and inventory of storeroom supplies including mechanical, technical, and electrical parts, tools, equipment, furniture and other materials.
Work is performed under the general supervision of an assigned supervisor and is reviewed through observations, reports, and results achieved. |

Representative Duties /Assignments |
|
Duties may vary based on area of assignment. The following are representative duties, it is not the intent to capture all duties performed by this classification.
- Receives, unpacks, tags, stores, and issues a wide range of items such as electrical, plumbing and mechanical supplies, chemicals, cleaning products, computer and office supplies, equipment, and furniture; ensures proper documentation and delivery of issued supplies.
- Verifies incoming materials for quantity and quality against invoices or purchase orders; forwards accurate requisitions and discrepancies to the appropriate division.
- Maintains accurate perpetual inventory records, including stock levels and item location; prepares supplies for shipment and documents all inventory movement.
- Prepares and submits purchase requisitions for procurement processing; makes authorized placement purchases within defined parameters.
- Evaluates stock needs and collaborates with supervisor on adjustments to inventory levels based on usage trends and supply demands.
- Performs clerical support tasks including data entry, filing, and record maintenance to support inventory and purchasing functions.
- Demonstrates familiarity with applicable supply categories and equipment maintained within the storeroom.
- Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications |
|
High school diploma or the equivalent and one (1) year of experience in stockroom or inventory control and purchasing work. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License. |

Preferences |
|
Computerized inventory experience. |
