SURVEYOR AND MAPPER II

FLSA Status: Exempt 

General Functions
   Performs advanced surveying and mapping work. This is advanced surveying and mapping work with some supervisory responsibilities. An employee assigned to this classification is responsible for more complex and diverse projects. Supervision is exercised over a staff or crew of technical or clerical positions. Work is performed with considerable independence under the general supervision of the designated supervisor.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Writes, approves, signs and seals legal descriptions, sketches, boundary surveys, right-of-way maps and other related documents.
  • Performs calculations and computer operations as needed to perform certified surveys of all kinds.
  • Supervises technical support staff to achieve timely delivery of in-house survey and mapping information and products.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Surveying and Mapping, Geomatics, Engineering, Geography or other closely related field and four years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.

Licensed by the Florida State Board of Professional Surveyors and Mappers as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper.
