MONITORING & EVALUATION COORDINATOR

FLSA Status: Exempt 

General Functions
   Responsible for monitoring and evaluating programs and services; establishing and implementing internal control systems to monitor compliance with program requirements. This position ensures program compliance and recommends efficiency and effectiveness measures to improve program performance. This position requires independent judgement and is performed under the general supervision of an assigned supervisor.

 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Assists in the development and preparation of all program plans, to include short-and long-range goals, and strategic planning for program implementation
  • Collect and analyze demographic and needs assessment data, surveys, or specialized research studies to prepare reports to ensure efficiency of operation and effectiveness of program implementation.
  • Monitors service areas within the division to ensure compliance, to meet federal, state, and county's policies and procedures through observations and reviews of electronic data management systems. Conducts follow up reviews to ensure compliance
  • Review administrative and agency specific audits and investigative reports to determine appropriate changes or corrective action required to prevent additional findings from occurring.
  • Develop and maintain the program's data plan and resource collection as it relates to the ongoing monitoring to implement and monitor programming to meet desired outcomes.
  • Assists in coordinated efforts to ensure quality assurance standards are met and thoroughly researched
  • Collaborates with the Head Start Policy Council in order to facilitate the appropriate allocation and use of funds for service delivery
 
Minimum Qualifications
   Bachelor's degree in social services, public administration, public health, business administration or equivalent and two years of experience in program planning and development; or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
 
Preferences
  
  • Monitoring experience, background with licensing of childcare facilities
  • Demonstrated monitoring and evaluation skills, including planning/participating in evaluations
