SUPPORT SPECIALIST

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

General Functions
   Responsible for providing customer liaisons between technical groups while maintaining database information. The focus is on vendor products and services pricing and providing training and systems administration for customer-based systems. Coordinates with vendors on services and ensures quality and completion of the work.

Work is performed under the general supervision of the assigned supervisor or their designee and is evaluated on accuracy, efficiency and achievement of desired results.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Acts as an interface between technicians and customers and provide dispatching services.
  • Updates vendor information and maintains current contract pricing information.
  • Assigns services for voice mail, call accounting, radios, and pagers.
  • Maintains inventory records.
  • Obtains information from the customer in support of work order requests.
  • Updates databases as needed.
  • Provides management and customer reports.
  • Performs customer follow-ups and processes customer feedback surveys.
  • Supports system management for customers.
  • Provides daily administrative support of various term contracts.
  • Attends contract meetings (Pre-Bid, Startup, Contract Review, etc.)
  • Provides Quality Assurance inspections of contracted services in assigned buildings.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   High School diploma or equivalent and three years experience in system administration in support of customers.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • May be required to possess a valid Florida Driver's License at time of hire and maintain during duration of employment.
  • May be required to provide own transportation to perform work related duties.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
    Facilities Management Division:
    Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License by date of hire.
 
Preferences
   Experience directly related to department/division.

Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Maximo.
