This position performs work in maintaining, repairing, and installing irrigation systems throughout the Parks & Recreation Division. This position may also assist in other projects within the Operation Support Section as directed. Direction is received from the Parks Technician II or assigned supervisor. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
Duties will vary based on assignment.
- Performs repairs to irrigations systems including leaking and broken lines, cut and damaged wires, valves, valve boxes and tracking and locating equipment.
- Assists with preventative maintenace inspections of irrigation systems.
- Keeps assigned vehicle stocked with needed irrigation parts and tools and keeps trenching and digging equipment cleaned and serviced.
- Assists in other related areas when needed including cleaning and servicing unmanned sites, boat ramps and the support facility.
- Instructs staff in proper techniques and use of tracking/locating equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Graduation from high school or equivalent and two years of experience in grounds and building maintenance and repair. |

| Preferences |
| |
Experience in installing, troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance of irrigation systems. |
