CUSTOMER SERVICES LIAISON

General Functions
   The Customer Service Liaison is responsible for gathering technical information from exhibitors to support the Event Utilities technicians on the floor. Guide exhibitors to order services for their booth appropriately.

Work is performed with considerable independence under the general supervision of the designated supervisor. Work is evaluated through the level of customer service provided, attention to detail and compliance with internal policies and practices.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Responsible for answering and guiding exhibitors on how to properly order services for their booth.
  • Receives orders from exhibitor services and validates that all required information has been provided before placing in the service order bucket.
  • Coordinates with exhibitors to ensure all the details of the order are captured accurately to fulfill clients and Convention Center needs.
  • Monitors the system for new work orders.
  • Reviews e-mails for exhibitor questions. Follows up with any email request that may be missing required details.
  • Responsible for checking voicemail for new messages and respond accordingly.
  • Works with technicians to explain the order details and helps them if a problem arises as the exhibitor is setting it up.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   Graduated from a High School or equivalent and three (3) years of experience in customer service; or an equivalent combination of relevant education, or experience on a year-for-year basis. A minimum of one year of experience related to the installation of utilities which can include plumbing.
 
Preferences
   Experience using EBMS and Microsoft office. Previous experience working in a convention center or highly occupied facility performing related maintenance and/or installation of utilities, air conditioning, heating, ventilation, lighting/audio services, rigging or facility maintenance.
