311 TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

General Functions
   The 311 Training and Development Coordinator plans, develops, and implements training programs for 311 Service Center Specialists. Develops programs to inform citizens of the 311 Contact Center and its services.

Work is performed with considerable independence under the general supervision of the 311 Management Team. The work is evaluated by effectiveness, design, and delivery of training programs.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Develops, implements, and conducts training classes and training manuals for Service Center Specialists. Classes include new hire training and refresher training as required.
  • Analyzes and implements assessment methods to determine training and developmental needs.
  • Liaisons with County Departments to research training needs and to ensure all necessary information is included in training modules.
  • Conducts informational presentations to schools, homeowner associations, senior citizen groups, governmental agencies, and other groups on the use of 311.
  • Recommends and coordinates training programs to meet the Contact Center and citizens' needs.
  • Serve as Emergency Essential employee by disseminating information to the public before, during and after an emergency or disaster.
  • Responsible for the coordination, development, dissemination, and training before, during and after an emergency or disaster while working closely with Emergency Operations Center.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Education, Psychology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field, and three years of training and development experience, two of which must have been developing, coordinating, and implementing training programs, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
