BUSINESS PROCESS TECHNOLOGY COORDINATOR

General Functions
  

Performs responsible professional, technical and administrative work for managing various technology projects for a particular Division. Responsibilities include research, process documentation, process training, and developing and deploying enabling technologies.

Work is performed under the general direction of the Manager/Deputy Director and is reviewed for compliance with department objectives and policies and for achievement of desired results.

 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Coordinates technology activities across multiple departments in cooperation with the Information Systems and Services (ISS) Division.
  • Provides day-to-day management of the technology program
  • Enters and maintains application system security and business hierarchies.
  • Performs high-level project management.
  • Assists in creating workflows across the business process application to ensure consistency and compliance with County standards.
  • Understand the current IT/Technology trends and analyze the impact of each trend on assigned business segments.
  • Assists in the recommendation and procurement of new application modules based on user requirements.
  • Identify/ evaluate opportunities to add value and efficiency to projects
  • Assists in creating comprehensive test plans to ensure that adequate system and integration testing is performed. Coordinates work of the support team in functional testing of system requirements.
  • Supervise support staff assigned to functional area and provide training on the use of the systems.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
 
Minimum Qualifications
  

Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Project Management, Business Administration or a closely related field and 6 years of experience in operations management, enterprise planning and development, and/or large-scale project management. At least four of those years should be at the supervisory level or higher.

 
Preferences
  

Experience planning, designing and coordinating the application of development support technologies together with other enterprise and analytical technologies to improve government operations
