PAVEMENT MARKING INSTALLER II

General Functions
  

This key position performs semi-skilled work in the installation of various pavement marking materials for traffic control, typically as part of a crew. This role directs Pavement Marking Installer I personnel, performs independent work on smaller projects, and handles hazardous materials used in pavement marking.

Work is performed with considerable independence under the supervision of Foreman. Performance is reviewed through observations, reports, and results achieved.

 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  

Duties may vary based on area of assignment. The following are representative duties, it is not the intent to capture all duties performed by this classification.

  • Installs pavement markings using various tools and equipment.
  • Handles hazardous materials used in marking.
  • Directs Pavement Marking Installer I personnel.
  • May work independently on smaller projects.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications
  

High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of pavement marking experience. An equivalent combination of relevant education or experience may be substituted.

Must obtain and maintain International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Level I Traffic Sign and Markings Technician certification within six (6) months of hire.

Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Commercial Driver’s License.
