FACILITY ENGINEER

General Functions
   Performs professional facilities management activities for an Orange County facility. This is a professional level position in the Facilities Management field. Responsibilities include overseeing, analyzing, directing, planning, and scheduling the operations and maintenance of building systems and infrastructures. Work is performed with considerable independence under the general supervision of the assigned supervisor.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Providing contract administration and project management activities among County facilities personnel IOC, Administration Building, Historical Building, Courthouse) and private maintenance contractors.
  • Coordinating with maintenance contractors to ensure the preventative maintenance program for the buildings, facilities and building systems located within the Downtown County facilities.
  • Providing technical assistance/guidance to Facilities.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a field of study to be specified by the division and six years of experience to be specified by the division.

Based upon area of assignment, may be required to obtain valid registration from the Florida State Board of Engineering Examiners as a professional engineer within one(1) year from hire date.

Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License by date of hire.

Facilities Management Division:
May be required to provide own transportation to perform work related duties.
