Performs complex technical work in the preparation, review and examination of appraisals to determine the fair market value of real estate and other related interests for eminent domain proceedings and acquisitions by Orange County.
Work is performed independently under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Acquisition and is reviewed for compliance with division objectives and policies for achievement of desired results. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Performs appraisals for land acquisition by the County.
- Inspects and appraises commercial and residential real and appurtenant personal property.
- Reviews appraisals submitted to the County for real estate acquisition.
- Evaluates appraisal firms' performance.
- Estimates total right-of-way cost of projects that include the appraised value of the property to be acquired, appraisal fees, attorney’s fees and other consulting fees and all legal costs.
- Assists land acquisition agents and others with appraisal needs.
- Tracks all assigned projects through the Division’s computer tracking system.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Real Estate, Business, Finance or Public Administration or a closely related field and three years of experience as an appraiser; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. |

| |
Experience in appraisal and review for eminent domain.
Florida State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.
