HEALTH SERVICES PROGRAM MANAGER

General Functions
   This is a professional administrative and/or supervisory position, exercising management responsibility for a major program or service activity of the Health Services Department. Provides supervision to employees assigned to the program, directs and manages the activities. Exercises independent judgment and assures the quality of the services provided.

Work is performed under the supervision of the Senior Program Manager or the Division Manager and is reviewed through conferences, records, reports, and results achieved.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Oversees plans and develops the programs for the assigned section of the division to include accreditation and policy management.
  • Assures the quality of services provided by the assigned program through observation of performance, evaluation of data, monitoring of records, inspection of facilities and equipment and evaluation of employee performance.
  • Conducts accreditation standard file reviews to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Ensures the divisions in compliance with American Correction Association (ACA), Florida Corrections Accreditation Commission (FCAC), Florida Model Jail Standards (FMJS) jail inspectors, the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA), and National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) standards.
  • Takes the lead in accreditation inspection and audits of the division.
  • Ensures policies are in compliance with the different accreditation standards.
  • Performs other responsibilities required to provide the specific services of the assigned program.
 
Minimum Qualifications
  

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and two (2) years of experience in health services, accreditation, or health information management including at least one year of supervisory experience; or an Associate’s degree from an accredited institution and four (4) years of experience in health services, including at least one year of supervisory experience.

An equivalent combination of education or experience may be substituted; five (5) years’ experience with a LPN Licensure.

May be required to possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Driver’s License and may be required to provide own vehicle for job related duties.
