The Youth Coordinator will establish and then oversee the local chapter of Youth Move, a youth led national organization devoted to improving services and systems that support positive growth and development by uniting the voices of individuals who have lived experience in various systems including mental health and substance abuse. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Establish a local Youth Move Chapter and ensure child/youth involvement in various chapter and family group meetings.
- Develop materials, services and trainings that empower youth to understand experiences with social systems and help revise the services to better serve youth with mental health challenges.
- Recruit, provide leadership, supervision and guidance while serving as a role model to youth currently receiving care in provided systems.
- Plan training and workshops that develop and enhance youth leadership skills.
- Facilitate workgroups focused on enhancing the youth and family voice within the organization.
- Provide community outreach/training on the principles of System of Care, the local process and the importance of youth involvement in their individual care plan.
- Prepares reports as required by contractual obligations and general administrative purposes.
- Performs other related duties as required.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Graduation from high school or equivalent and two years of experience in a human services related field dealing with children and families. Knowledge of or experience with the community mental health or substance abuse treatment systems. |
