RESIDENTIAL COUNSELING SERVICES SUPERVISOR

General Functions
   This position is responsible for supervisory work in residential service programs.

Work is performed under the supervision of a Program Manager or Senior Program Manager and is reviewed through conferences, records, file reviews, reports, and results achieved.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Supervises and evaluates the performance of Senior Children’s Services Counselors, Children’s Services Counselors, and any other staff employees of the assigned program.
  • Coordinates activities of the assigned program in the absence of, or on behalf of the Program Manager or Senior Program Manager.
  • Ensures program staff meets all training and development requirements as directed by the Program Manager or Senior Program Manager.
  • Prepares staff schedules and ensures appropriate staffing and supervision of clients.
  • Assigns and supervises client case assignments and other staff duties as directed or approved by the Program Manager or Senior Program Manager.
  • Provides 24 hour, 7 day per week on call supervision for program.
  • Assures provision of appropriate services to program clients through direct supervision, consultation, and supervisory review of casework.
  • Develops and coordinates services with practitioners and programs within the county, courts, or other agencies.
  • Prepares and submits accurate and timely reports as required by the Program Manager or Senior Program Manager.
  • Assures program compliance with county, division, program, contract, and Council on Accreditation (COA) requirements.
  • Accompanies clients to medical clinic and provides the Psychiatrist with client updates.
  • Assesses the youth in crisis for possible Baker Act.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or closely related field and two years of supervisory experience in counseling, social or residential services.

Licensed in the State of Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.

Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license and may be required to provide own vehicle for job related duties.

Proficient in Microsoft Word and email computer applications.
 
Preferences
   Knowledge of Magellan Health Services, Medicaid, Behavior Health Overlay Services (BHOS), and/ or Therapeutic Behavioral On-Site Services (TBOS).
