YOUTH RESIDENT COORDINATOR		Job Code: 3033 Pay Grade: 106 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
General Functions
	The following job code is covered under this job description: 3007 Youth Resident Coord 8 Hr This key position provides direct care and supervision for abused, neglected, and emotionally and socially handicapped children placed in residential care. It supplements the implementation of treatment programs for the children and is responsible for their conduct and welfare. Work is performed under the supervision of the Residential Service Supervisor. Performance is reviewed on a regular basis through observations, conferences, and results achieved.

Representative Duties /Assignments
	Duties may vary based on area of assignment. The following are representative duties, it is not the intent to capture all duties performed by this classification. Maintains continuous supervision of children at all times, notifying supervisors of unusual problems, which may arise. Assists in implementation of educational and behavioral management goals. Assesses children’s problems to make appropriate applications of social learning techniques. Monitors children’s physical condition and reports any medical needs to nurse and/or supervisor to assure proper attention and documentation. Supervises and/or participates in all activities planned for the children. Transports children to and from scheduled activities and appointments. Prepares all required reports and ensures all documentation is accurate and processed in a timely and appropriate manner. Participates in staff meetings and in-service training. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
	High school diploma or equivalent and (2) years of experience in direct care of children. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.

Preferences
	Experience in a residential setting. Intermediate proficiency in word processing functions to include Microsoft Word, and email functions.
