General Functions
  

Performs professional-technical and administrative work to the assigned division. This role is responsible for assisting with day-to-day functions of the assigned area and plans, develops, manages, coordinates, facilitates, monitors, researches and evaluates programs, events, services, activities and trends in Orange County related to social services programs and/or financial assistance programs.

Work is performed with considerable independence under the general supervision of a designated supervisor. Performance is reviewed through observations, reports and results achieved.

 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  

Duties may vary based on area of assignment. The following are representative duties, it is not the intent to capture all duties performed by this classification.

  • Performs supervisory responsibilities by providing training to assigned staff, monitoring and evaluating employee performance, and managing the team's workflow to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Provides customer service and problem resolution for client complaints or vendor issues.
  • Obtains and maintains information and records for client files in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures.
  • Conducts research, data collection, and analysis of information to assess programs performance.
  • Generates and writes reports and other documents such as memos, letters, contracts, forms, spreadsheets, statistical charts, tables, and graphs.
  • Plans and coordinates multiple and diverse projects to the assigned division's program. Implements new activities and programs.
  • Manages calendar for client appointments and oversees intake and information process for applicants.
  • Collects and validates information to authorize and process payments to include resolving issues and discrepancies. Tracks payments and prepares weekly receipts reports.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications
  

Associate's degree from an accredited college and two (2) years of experience in social service programs, customer service, determining eligibility requirements, office management, fiscal management, payment processing or call center; or an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year for year basis.

 
Preferences
  

Supervisory experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.
