ORANGE TV OPERATIONS MANAGER

FLSA Status: Exempt 

General Functions
   This position performs a wide variety of complex and technical evaluations for the department's projects, is the liaison between OTV and the Orange County Social and Marketing team, and assists with tracking employee assignments and tasks on a daily basis.
Work is performed with independence under the direction of the Orange TV Assistant Manager and is reviewed on a regular basis through observations and results achieved.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Assist with design and development of new graphics for two 24/7 television stations, develops subject specific program blocks for each station, creates of on-air schedule, writes on-air programming procedures and policies for stations, PSA insertion into programs.
  • Assists Station Manager with development of strategic plans, policies, standards, and procedures for Orange TV and Vision TV operations.
  • Provides administrative, supervisory, technical expertise, distribution and Internet integration concerning all programming and scheduling aspects of television programs for broadcast on two 24/7-government access TV channels.
  • Researches and analyzes programming and production requirements.Reports proven success in social media marketing, engagement and follow up.
  • Executive produce live, studio and field productions for broadcast and internal video distribution: Includes administers, coordinates and provides technical and/or content support.
  • Assists Station Manager with live broadcasts from the emergency operations center .
  • On- camera hosting for live broadcast, studio, field television and social media programs. .
  • Research and writes scripts for video, television and social media programs. Edit, review and produces program content and select guests.
  • Oversea field production work for television and social media programs. Schedule and directs production team on location.
  • Voice over and narrate recordings for public service announcements, training videos, program and social media segments.
  • Performs related duties as required.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Communications, Broadcast Management, Telecommunication or a closely related field. Requires five (5) years experience in television production, management of television station or video production to include one (1) year supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of relevant education, experience and training.

Required Equipment Skills

Proficiency in the following computer editing and graphic programs: Premiere Pro, Adobe, Creative Cloud Applications, Final Cut Pro, and Microsoft Office. Proficient with social media platforms; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube
 
Preferences
   Computer programming, graphic design, scriptwriting and web design.
