IT SECURITY ARCHITECT

General Functions
   This is a senior level security systems position responsible for technical and administrative aspects of enterprise computer and physical security. This position is responsible for the analysis, design, creation, implementation and enforcement of policies, standards and procedures for the protection of enterprise-wide information resources. Responsibilities include directing and supervising technical staff, vendors, and consultants through special projects, security upgrades and installations.

Work is performed with independence and initiative under the general supervision of the Enterprise IT Security Manager. Performance is reviewed through observations, conferences, reports and achievement of desired results.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Responsible for designing and architecting security solutions for enterprise computer systems, applications and physical security systems.
  • Manages and secures enterprise Active Directory, Remote Access and physical security systems.
  • Manages and coordinates enterprise-wide security audits on computers and physical access systems and enterprise-wide forensic investigations.
  • Manages and coordinates Public Records Information requests.
  • Oversees electronic access control and audio and video security systems and projects.
  • Architects solutions to safeguard electronic data.
  • Supervises Security Systems staff on their assignments and projects. Oversees vendors and consultants on security upgrades and installations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Business Management or a closely related field and five years of responsible technical and administrative experience in systems security, systems analysis and design.

Experience must include two years information security experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity in a multi-vendor, multi-site environment.

Knowledge of security software applications, physical access control systems, digital video recording systems, access control applications and security panel boards.
