| General Functions |
| |
Performs technical work applying skills in programming, systems design and software engineering. Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs. The effort is focused on supporting project management and providing operating system level support for Orange County’s computer environment.
Work is performed with under the general supervision of the Enterprise IT Supervisor. Performance is reviewed through observations, conferences, reports and achievement of desired results.

| Representative Duties /Assignments |

- Conducts problem diagnosis and resolution.
- Performs operating system modifications.
- Performs installations of hardware and software.
- Adjusts operating system parameters.
- Performs project management tasks.
- Documents systems and systems changes and works with software vendors.
- Provides support to Enterprise Operations staff.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Software Engineering or closely related field and four years of systems programming experience.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Security administration, Network protocols (TCP/IP), workstation and servers experience, desktop and laptop computers, Independent Software Vendors (ISV) products.
