ENTERPRISE OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

FLSA Status: Exempt 

General Functions
   Supervises computer operations and Service Center within the computing center. Responsible for day to day staff assignments and responds to changing workloads. Responsible for reviewing and following up on staff work performance.

Work is performed under supervision of the Enterprise IT Supervisor or their designee and is evaluated on accuracy, efficiency and achievement of desired results.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Coordinates, prioritizes, delegates and monitors computing center and Service Center operations tasks for multiple computer environments.
  • Performs daily computing center operational tasks required to perform system and application backups, and production job processing and printing.
  • Identifies, investigate, and initiates corrective action for hardware and software problems.
  • Performs and delegates computer peripheral equipment preventative maintenance in accordance with established procedures.
  • Designs, develops, maintains and implements computing center operational guidelines on a yearly basis or as needed.
  • Maintains safety and security of the computing center facility.
  • Develops, maintains and administers operational training program and performance management for assigned staff.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   Associate's Degree from an accredited institution in Data Processing or related field and two years experience in the operation of medium to large scale computer systems, one year which must have been in responsible computing center operational duties. Additional years of the specified experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.
 
Preferences
   Supervisory, project management and/or budget preparation experience

Experience with disaster recovery planning and preparation

Certifications: A+, Network+, and Server+ or other industry equivalent level certification.
