| General Functions |
| |
Responsible for the care of impounded animals, cleaning of cages, kennels and related spaces in the animal holding areas. Provides customer support as required. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Clean and disinfect animal runs, kennels, cages, receiving areas and holding areas to ensure the health and well being of the animal population.
- Feed and water all animals in shelter.
- Assist Animal Services Officers in the process of impounding animals.
- Maintain daily use inventory of kennel supplies. Complete and file routine forms and reports.
- Assist general public within the kennel as needed.
- Other related duties as assigned.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
Ability to handle or restrain large and sometimes dangerous animals.
Ability to use a computer and related software.
Flexibility to work various schedules including weekends and holidays.

| Preferences |
| |
Prefer High School diploma or GED.
Prefer knowledge of procedures for the care and humane treatment of animals.
