Crottv/^/ SUBJECT: Managerial Appointments I t   is  my  pleasure  to  inform  you  of  the  following   appointments   in  some  key managerial vacancies.  These  individuals  will all  be outstanding  additions to our management staff and each brings unique skills and experience to their new role. Office of Public Safety Manager, Public Safety Communications Division- Bryan Rintoul Mr.    Rintoul    has    more    than    15   years   of    experience    in    Public    Safety Communications    leadership.    His   most   recent    position   was   Public   Safety Communications  Manager for the Orlando Police Department, where he oversaw 9-1-1   and  Dispatch   Operations   as  well  as  the   City   Radio  Services  section including  an  administrative   staff  of  85  employees   and  a  multi-million  dollar operating budget. While in this position, he had several notable accomplishments including  administering the City False Alarm Ordinance, serving as Chairman of the OPD Computer Committee,  and directing over $5 million of upgrades to the City Radio system infrastructure. Prior    to    his    most    recent    position,    he   also    served    as    an    Emergency Communications  Supervisor  for eight years and a Technology   Liaison/Business Analyst  for  three  years.  He  has  a  Master of  Business  Administration  from  the University    of    Central    Florida    and    a    Bachelor    of    Science    in   Business Administration   from   Florida  Southern   College.   Among  his  other  professional affiliations,  he is a  member of the  State of  Florida  Region V  Domestic Security Task   Force  and  the   Association  of   Public   Safety  Communications  Officials International (APCO). Mr. Rintoul will begin his new role on October 1, 2007 at a starting annual salary of $105,000.
