Crotty, County Chairman Board of County Commissioners FROM: Randy Singh, Manager, Office of Management and Budget SUBJECT: Consent Agenda Item for August 26, 2003 Grant-in-Aid Agreements for Alternative Dispute Resolution Court Administration CONTACT: Patria Morales, Grants Coordinator PHONE: 407/836-7390 /^/^^^/^/S< The Orange County Ninth Judicial Circuit Court has been offered a Grant-in-Aid from the Office of the State Courts Administrator (OSCA) in the amount of $33,475. OSCA will provide the funding from the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Mediation/Arbitration Trust Fund to support the Orange County Dispute Resolution Parent Coordination Program. Upon receipt of a written request for release of funds, OSCA will release to the Grantee $16,737.50. The remaining amount will be available on November 15, 2003 after receipt and evaluation of the First Performance Report. This allotment is based on an implementation period commencing July 1, 2003 and ending March 31, 2004. ACTION REQUESTED: NOTE TO THE CLERK: Board approval and execution of the original Grant-in-Aid agreement authorizing the State Courts Administrator to make payments to Orange County in the amount of $33,475 to support the Orange County Dispute Resolution Parent Coordination Program. Please return one approved copy of this memorandum and executed copy of the grant agreement to 0MB and forward approved copy to Bonnie Tubbs, Grants Supervisor, Finance and Accounting and to Howard Brooks, Court Administration.
