Crotty and the Board of County Commissioners FROM: <^3rcsamyTGcharo^son, Manager, Purchasing and Contracts  Division CONTACT:    Dwight Mitchell, Contract Administrator, Roads and Drainage Division PHONE: 407-836-7725 SUBJECT: Award of Invitation for Bids Y5-1070-PD, Right-of-Way Mowing Apopka Area K F.r.OMMF.ND ATTON- Approval  to  award Invitation  for Bids  Y5-1070-PD,  Right-of-Way Mowing  Apopka Area,  to the low responsive  and responsible  bidder,  Alpha  and  Omega  Landscaping, Inc., for a 1-year term contract renewable by the Purchasing  and Contracts Division  for an additional two years.   The estimated  contract amount of the base year and the two option years is $825,300 ($229,250 -  Base Year; $275,100 - Option Year 1; $320,950  - Option  Year  2).    However,  only  the  base  year in  an  estimated  contract  amount  of $229,250 will be awarded initially.  The Roads and Drainage Division concurs with this recommendation. PTTRPOSR- This  contract  will provide  mowing,  edging,  herbicide  treatment,  fertilization  of  turf, litter removal, and inlet throat cleaning to various right-of-way and easement  locations i n  the Apopka area of Orange County. DTSCTTSSTON: Seven  (7) bids were received  in response  to this Invitation  for Bids.   The bids  were evaluated  for price,  responsiveness  and responsibility.    The  low  bidder,  Alpha  and Omega, Inc., meets all specifications.
