CONSENT AGENDA ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT 3 To: Mayor Teresa Jacobs and the Board of County Commissioners F(~ffi'L Carrie Mathes, Manager, Procurement Division Contact: Sheri Blanton, Forensic Senior Program Manager, Medical Examiner's Office 407-836-9432 Subject: Award of Invitation for Bids Y18-1037-AH, Computed Tomography Scanner for Orange County Medical Examiner ACTION REQUESTED Approval to award Invitation for Bids Y18-1037-AH, Computed Tomography Scanner for Orange County Medical Examiner, to the low responsive and responsible bidder, CMS Imaging, Incorporated, in the total contract award amount of $534,830. PROCUREMENT To provide a computed tomography (CT) scanner inclusive of gantry, extended table, operator control and review workstation, software and associated picture archiving and communication system, installation, training, and five years of warranty, maintenance, and support. FUNDING: Funding is available in account numbers, 0001-060-2530-6410 and 0001-060- 2530-3820. APPROVALS: The Medical Examiner's Office concurs with this recommendation. REMARKS: Two bids were received in response to this Invitation for Bids and were evaluated for responsiveness, responsibility, and price. Price reasonableness has been determined through comparing market rates of similar equipment and contacting other medical examiner offices who have purchased CT scanners. Inquiries included the Travis County Medical Examiner in Austin, Texas, Offices of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, Maryland and Tulsa, Oklahoma, as well as the New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator in Albuquerque, New Mexico. 35 35
