CONSENT AGENDA COUNTY SHERIFF 1 MEMO ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE March 14, 2017 TO: Mayor Teresa Jacobs -AND- Visit our website: Board of County Commissioners FROM: Tammy Miller, Grants Manager Orange County Sheriffs Office SUBJECT: FFY14 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (Pulse Nigl_itclub) CONSENT AGENDA ITEM March 21, 2017 The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, acting as the pass-thru agency for the Justice Assistance Grants County-wide, has approved the Orange County Board of County Commissioners funding in the amount of $27,000 that requires no matching funds. The grant period is June 1, 2016 through March 31, 2017. Funding will provide reimbursement to the Sheriffs Office for equipment repair and/or replacement that were damaged during the Pulse Nightclub tragedy. JAG Residual Funds/Orange County/Orlando Pulse, funds will be used to replace and/or repair equipment damaged during the Pulse Nightclub tragedy. ($27,000) ACTION REQUESTED: Approval and execution of 1) Florida Department of Law Enforcement Justice Assistance Grant - County-wide subgrant in the total amount of $27,000 for the period of June 1, 2016 through March 31, 2017; 2) Certification Regarding Lobbying; Debarment, Suspension, and other Responsibility Matters; and Drug-Free Workplace Requirements; and 3) Certification Form Compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity Plan (EEOP) requirements.
