Typical Uses

Rural single family lots (not exceeding 1 unit per 5 gross acres), farms, ranches, pasture land, crop land, and agricultural related office, commercial, and industrial development. If consistent with O.C. Code - Section 30-341, legal lots of record that are smaller than 10 acres may develop with one single family dwelling, subject to applicable zoning criteria.

Specific Intent/Description

This category is intended to recognize and preserve existing development patterns, provide for a rural residential lifestyle, and effectively manage the transition of rural areas adjacent to the Urban Service Area. (See Future Land Use Element Goal 2, Objective 2.1 and Policies 2.1.1-2.1.18)
