This key position is responsible for collecting onthly reads fromall existing water and reclaimed water meters in our service area. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate reads on meteres once a month, meet bond covenants and avoid the need to estimate bills.
Work is performed with considerable independence and the exercise of independent judgment under the general supervision of the department manager or other designated supervisor. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |

Duties may vary based on area of assignment. The following are representative duties, it is not the intent to capture all duties performed by this classification.
- Accurately read water and reclaimed water meters, Reading meteres is the core function of the position and readings are used to generate bills for customers.
- Driving to and from assigned work area.
- Ensure routes in hand-held device coincide with the daily assignment.
- Uploading reports by the end of the day.
- Reporting leaks and illegal connections as necessary.
- Maintain vehicle as necessary.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Graduation from high school or equivalent and three years of meter reading experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
Must possess and maintain valid Florida Driver's License.
Must be able to work outside in inclement weather.

| Preferences |
| |
High School graduate or equivalent and 3 years of experience meter reading experience. An equivalent combination of education or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
Valid FL Driver’s License and the ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
Must be able to work outside in inclement weather. |
