| General Functions |

Supports the Manager, Building Systems in the maintenance of the Convention Center facility in order to provide a clean and safe environment for the public and staff and to meet all required federal, state and local guidelines and regulations.
This position requires leadership skills, process ownership, decision making, administrative and technical expertise.

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Leads and coordinates staff and tasks to accomplish repairs and alterations to buildings and equipment systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, life safety systems, emergency systems, mechanical, etc.
- Partners with the Risk Management team and ensures compliance with statutory regulations and supporting the Sustainability Plan.
- Establishes and monitors a preventative maintenance program that will promote a sense of well-being for residents and staff. Works with other departments to conduct training on the safe and efficient use of equipment and energy in the building.
- Maintains Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis (PSHA) and fire code compliance. Ensures all equipment is compliant with codes and regulations while maintaining accurate records.
- Conducts walk-through inspections and drills and assesses the safety of the buildings.
- Works cooperatively with multiple stakeholders both internal and external to accomplish goals of the Orange County Convention Center, Orange County and I Drive District. Works closely with other divisions to ensure coordination of activities.
- Supervises a large multi-disciplinary team and is responsible for their motivation and evaluation.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a closely related field and six years of facility management and building engineering evaluation experience in a large general assembly type facility; or closely related experience to include two years of supervisory experience. |
