General Functions |
|
This position is responsible for the scheduling, coordinating and staffing of on-call and part time duty assignments within the Security Division of the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). Responsibilities also include keeping up-to-date on event requirements and distribution of equipment and uniforms. Work requires exercising independent judgment in assessing Security and Traffic needs and receives general supervision from the Assistant Security Supervisor. |

Representative Duties /Assignments |
|
- Schedules, coordinates, and confirms availability of all on-call and part time staff to meet event requirements, including assigning staff to designated and appropriate locations.
- Maintains staff roster with contact information and cumulative hours of availability.
- Prepares daily scheduling roster for sign in / sign out.
- Provides staff with daily show related information.
- Reviews daily fact sheet, show-related correspondence and event manifests to be able to effectively address concerns presented by staff.
- Distributes equipment and uniforms to staff and other entities.
- Monitors and assists with the programming of the Center's Dynamic Messaging System (DMS).
- Establishes relationships and works effectively with internal and external department representatives.
- Meets the Center of Hospitality (COH) standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications |
|
Graduation from high school or equivalent and four years of responsible administrative or customer service experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office products.
Must be able to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Preferences |
|
Experience in security, traffic, and / or the hospitality industry with related telephone, scheduling, and/or customer service experience.
Experience with event management software.
|
