General Functions |
|
Provides leadership and supervision for the Security & Transportation Division. Ensures safety/security for employees and guests, efficient management of Convention Center traffic and strategic management of transportation initiatives. Work is performed with independent judgement under the supervision of the Executive Director. |

Representative Duties /Assignments |
|
- Provides overall management of the Building Security and Transportation Division in all phases of security, safety and traffic control.
- Ensures timely and sufficient information is obtained to meet the transportation requirements of clients and attendees. Implements and provides traffic management plans to appropriate OCCC staff and the Convention and Visitors Bureau staff.
- Plans, develops and implements programs to ensure the security and safety of the Convention Center staff and attendees. Identifies solutions to meet ongoing transportation issues.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures relating to safety and traffic functions to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Develops and monitors division budget consistent with County and department objectives.
- Responsible for managing various human resources functions within the division to include hiring, training and development, performance management and related activities.
- Meets the Center of Hospitality (CoH) standards.

Minimum Qualifications |
|
Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a closely related field and five years increasingly responsible security experience in a large facility or law enforcement agency, to include three years of security supervisory experience. |

Preferences |
|
Strong interpersonal, communication, customer service and problem solving skills.
Building security supervisory experience in a public assembly facility.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
|
