General Functions |
|
Responsible for monitoring and qualifying all booking activity of the sales staff, requiring a considerable amount of data input and proficiency in computer applications. The Marketing Assistant is also responsible for monitoring progress and generating sales activity reports.
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Marketing Manager and is reviewed through observations, conferences, reports and results achieved.

Representative Duties /Assignments |
|
- Analyzes sales activity to ensure compliance with established guidelines and makes recommendations on event bookings and booking procedures. Ensures all bookings are entered accurately.
- Produces periodic and ad hoc reports on sales activity, future and consumed business. Provides interpretation of data in varying forms (graphs, charts, lists, etc.).
- Collects and analyzes data related to the industry using materials and electronic resources.
- Provides training for Sales and Marketing section on Convention Center software application.
- Participates on software task force, provides recommendation and assists with implementation for software enhancement and creates standard operating procedures.
- Assists with the creation and maintenance of the Sales standard operating procedures
- Meets the Center of Hospitality (CoH) standards.
- Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications |

Associates Degree and two years of marketing experience; or an equivalent combination of related education, training or experience |
