General Functions |
|
Provides Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) Executive Team information on industry trends and the changing competitive landscape. Manages marketing research projects and publications, gathers and analyzes market research from primary and secondary sources. This position will be the main point of contact for both internal and external research/statistical inquiries. Must customarily exercise discretion and independent judgment in performance of duties. |

Representative Duties /Assignments |
|
- Collects, analyzes, summarizes and disseminates market research information relating to convention center operations including guest, client and employee satisfaction surveys. Provides recommendations for process improvement.
- Leads and/ or assists in implementation of recommended sales and marketing strategies and employee satisfaction improvements.
- Participates in special OCCC projects such as high speed rail and rental rate analysis.
- Researches and reports on industry performance measurements including occupancy rates, delegate spending and international and domestic attendance tracking.
- Provides statistical economic condition information using GDP, unemployment rates and consumer confidence index.
- Acts as the OCCC liaison with external industry partners including competing convention centers, convention and visitor bureaus, and various central Florida tourism bureaus.
- Measures and communicates guest satisfaction utilizing multiple research tools; measures and communicates industry and local economic impact.
- Meets The Center of Hospitality (CoH) standards.

Minimum Qualifications |
|
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Marketing, Communications or a closely related field and five years experience in methodology development, process and operational improvements and guest satisfaction analysis in the hospitality industry.
Experience in communicating complicated data into relatable concepts, excellent written and oral communication and analytical skills.
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
