General Functions |
|
Performs responsible supervisory work directing inventory control personnel. Plans, conducts, and reviews inventory control processes. Work is performed with independence under the general direction of a designated supervisor. |

Representative Duties /Assignments |
|
Coordinates, supervises and conducts department wide inventories. Researches, develops, implements, and evaluates methods and procedures for inventory control. Provides technical assistance and administrative advice. Supervises the maintenance of records, administers record retention and disposal schedule, in accordance with Florida State Public Records Statute. Implements techniques and procedures to assure improved performance in record keeping.
Assists with and monitors fixed assets inventory. Coordinates with the Orange County Comptroller’s Office to tag new equipment, disposition of equipment and location changes. Coordinates the transfer of unserviceable equipment to the Orange County warehouse. Supervises and assists with the filing and completion of report requests.
Supervises, plans, directs, and trains staff. Reviews and evaluates performance. Based on area of assignment may monitor section budget and usage. May represent the Department in court concerning subpoenas and files, as it relates to records management.

Minimum Qualifications |
|
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management, Business or Public Administration or a closely related field and one year of inventory control experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant education or experience. |
