Performs senior level inspections of projects assigned to the Public Works Division. This is senior level work which is performed under field conditions. An employee in a position assigned to this classification is required to be well experienced in all aspects of the construction of large public works road projects, work performed in rights-of-way by contractors and utility companies, and in the supervision of subordinate engineering inspectors. Work is performed with considerable independence under the general supervision of the assigned supervisor. |

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Graduation from high school or equivalent and five years of civil engineering experience (type of experience will be specified by department) to include two years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's license.
Must satisfactorily complete Contractors' Underground Utility Examination for inspectors within six months from date of entry into position.
