General Functions |
|
Performs customer service and cashiering work in recreation centers, parks, or campgrounds and acts as the first point of contact to all patrons entering the facility. Performs basic clerical duties such as filing and archiving documents, data entry, and maintaining office supply inventory. Assists park patrons with excellent customer service to include rental requests, customer account confirmation and updates, checking in registered campers, communicating with Risk Management for facility rental approvals, receiving customer concerns and ensuring follow up.
Work requires independent judgment within established guidelines and is performed under the general supervision of a designated supervisor, who evaluates performance based on accuracy and achievement of desired results in providing customer service. |

Representative Duties /Assignments |
|
Duties may vary based on area of assignment. The following are representative duties, it is not the intent to capture all duties performed by this classification.
- Greets guests and answers all incoming phone calls and email inquiries. Answers routine customer service issues and requests from internal and external guests. Ensures that all members and guests sign in prior to using the facility or entering programs.
- Processes reservations for rentals and special events including collecting all paperwork. Handles incoming cash, checks and credit card payments. Ensures payment and insurance deadlines are met, runs reservation report and makes staff aware of rental dates, setup instructions, and special requests.
- Responsible for revenue collection and revolving change fund as well as assisting with daily revenue balancing. Assists with preparation of bank deposit and revenue reports.
- Maintains facility calendar for recreational programs, rentals, and special events for internal use. Uses Calendar Wiz applications to maintain the facility calendar published on website for public use.
- Opens and closes facility per schedule which includes: unlocking/locking facility, arming and dis-arming security system, turning on and off all lights, checking restrooms for cleanliness, powering on front desk computer and equipment and ensuring everything is in working order.
- Assists park staff with rule enforcement as the first point of contact for patrons arriving at the park.
- Performs other related duties as assigned, including janitorial and preparation of spaces for use by the public.

Minimum Qualifications |
|
High school graduate or equivalent and one (1) year of experience.
Must prove proficiency with proprietary Parks software within five (5) months from date of hire. |

Preferences |
|
Customer service, cashier/sales and computer experience. |
