SENIOR HOUSING ASSISTANT |

General Functions |
|
Performs responsible planning and administrative work in developing and implementing a variety of Federal, State and Local Affordable Housing Programs to include, but not limited to the State Housing Initiative Program, the HOME Program, Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Program. An employee assigned to this position will provide technical assistance to the program manager as well as developers, landlords, realtors and non-profit organizations. This position will also provide technical assistance in the area of document management.
Work is performed under the general direction of Program Manager and performance is evaluated through conferences, written reports and for achievement of desired results.

Representative Duties /Assignments |
|
- Assists in administration of several rental and homeownership housing programs.
- Coordinates the development and review of regulatory reform policies for affordable housing.
- Coordinates staff support for the Affordable Housing Advisory Board.
- Formulates reviews and evaluates projects’ financial performance, feasibility studies, contracts, market analysis, and revenue and expense statements.
- Conducts quality reviews of program files.
- Provides technical assistance to staff in the area of Document Management.
- Conducts monthly landlord and tenant briefings.
- Provides significant technical staff support through formal presentations, publications, research and reports.
- Provide training on the programs’ operations and procedures for new staff
- Assist in the preparation for various HUD audits of our housing programs
- Reviews monthly Document Management reports to assure accuracy
- Assist in the yearly Section Eight Management Assessment Program data collection and reporting
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications |
|
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Social Science, Public or Business Administration and three years of experience in real estate, case management, interviewing, assessment or administrative experience in the area of social services or public assistance; or an equivalent combination of relevant education or experience.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
