General Functions |
|
Directs the activities, programs and services of the Housing and Community Development division to ensure provisions of the highest level of program development and service to the County and its citizens.
Provides planning, management and administrative direction for division services and CDBG programs to include funding for street construction, installation of drainage facilities, housing rehabilitation, new housing construction and Section 8 rental housing assistance, inspection for housing code compliance and the operation of community facilities.
Responds to and resolves problems and complaints of staff members, residents landlords and clients.
Monitors the interpretation and application provision of Federal, State and local government laws and regulations relating to the activities of the division, and analyzes legislative bills and proposals and make recommendations concerning housing and community development programs.
Serves as Director of the County Public Housing Agency and Director of Fair Housing (Investigation and Compliance).
Manages division personnel matters to include hiring, discipline, training and development, performance appraisals and related activities.
Receives implements and monitors County and division policies to ensure division adherence.

Minimum Qualifications |
|
Master's degree in Public or Business Administration, Planning or a related field and four years of progressively responsible administrative management experience or a Bachelor's degree in Public or Business Administration, Planning or a related field and six years of progressively responsible administrative management experience. |
